AA Smart Travellers - About Us

AA Smart Traveller is a newly established not for profit organisation. An Australian based association with an aim to educate international travellers on the fragile eco system that is Australia.

By educating international travellers about Australian Wildlife, Endangered Species, Animal Protection, Conservation in Australia as well as how to behave around native wildlife and what to do in the case of an injured animal. When international tourists are educated on these matters before entering Australia, there is hope for a smoother and friendlier trip for both traveller and the environment.

Education will be done through the organisations web site, here there is lots of useful information on Australia's wildlife, environment, flora, emergency services, wildlife sanctuaries, rehabilitation and research programs, endangered species and protection laws, dangerous species.

As well as useful links such as 'What to do in the case of a Snake Bite', 'First Aid for native Wildlife', 'What to Do if you find a dead marsupial'.

There are profiles available on environmentally friendly places to visit, places to go to learn about Australia's environment, as well as profiles on all the major National Parks within Australia.

While AA Smart Traveller aims to educate travellers as well as many who aren't as fortunate to be able to travel to Australia, about our wildlife. The organisation wishes to promote animal protection and environment conservation.

AA Smart Traveller aims to promote conservation, fundraise for various charities and causes. As a not for profit organisation all funds raised from fundraising will be donated to wildlife organisations and to help fund various research programs.

The charity offers memberships for those wishing to help with fundraising and other events. Memberships can be claimed through the AA Smart Traveller web site or by contacting the organisation.
